Description

Provides reservoir engineering support and technical advice to the asset, exploration, project and operations teams, including reservoir and fluid characterization, agreed technical programmes and opportunity evaluation. Delivers dynamic modelling for E&P; activities. Provides wells and planning operational support. Involved in commercially or technically significant projects and/or complex, non-routine assignments which require the application of considerable technical expertise to increase the profitability of the business Takes a lead role in many of these activities and projects and/or supervisors and coordinates the activities of other team members.Monitoring production and injection performance on existing fields to optimize production and maximize recoveryPerforming well test analysisPerforming reservoir simulation modelling/studies and generating production forecastsReserves reportingEconomic analysisTechnical input/support to new field development planningProject management of outsourced reservoir engineering studiesPlanning and execution of technical programmes in conjunction with drilling/well operations and geoscientistsTechnical input to appraisal and field development programmesDynamic STOIIP and GIIP validation / calculationDynamic modelling studiesOpportunity appraisalPrepare relevant parts of well programmes in partnership with geologists, geophysicists and drilling e.g. preparing well pathsPrepare and present material as required internally and to third parties e.g. Regulator/JV partnersAssessing subsurface risk for opportunitiesEvaluation of new business opportunitiesTake a lead role in many of these activities/projects and/or supervise and co-ordinate the activities of other team members

Qualifications
Minimum 5-7 years of relevant working experienceExperienced and skilled in license workPrevious experience in a similar role within a challenging and operating environment
Proven ability to undertake important projects and/or highly complex assignments/tasks requiring the application of highly-developed technical skills and knowledge without supervisionStrong understanding of fluid dynamic behaviourUnderstanding of reservoir drive mechanismsUser of dynamic modelling packages (preferably Petrel-RE/Eclipse/PETEX Suite)
Strong communication / presentation/ writing skills
Good commercial awareness/understanding project financing/cost control principlesProven ability to undertake complex tasks requiring the application of well-developed technical skills and knowledge with limited supervisionProven leadership-builder with the ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teamsProven ability to undertake complex tasks requiring the application of well-developed technical skills and knowledge with limited supervisionHighly developed analytical and problem solving skillsTeam playerProject Management skills
