Wintershall Norge is looking for a highly competent Senior Reservoir Engineer (Reservoir Engineering Advisor) to join the Development Subsurface Team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience from the Norwegian Continental Shelf, preferably both from production and development fields, and within non operated and operated assets. The candidate will act as an technical advisor within the reservoir engineering discipline in Wintershall and will be responsible for the coordination and execution of reservoir engineering work in the Development department.
Dynamic data acquisition, data analysis and recommendation on how to implement results into the subsurface modelsConstruct, update and history match dynamic models Ensure reservoir management considerations are properly reflected in plans and actionsProvide technical reservoir engineering expertise for field developments and productionDemonstrate knowledge in different disciplines within a development project, from exploration to facilities. Well planning and follow up drilling operations, participate actively in detailed well planning of the project development wellsProvide operational support when required during drilling of development wellsCoaching and mentoring of junior staffAct as advisor and focal point for quality control of reservoir engineering work in projectsProvide technical follow-up and report progress to management and partnersPresent technical information to Partners at regular Committee Meetings and sub-surface workshopsSupport and coordinate work towards the exploration department during license rounds Give reservoir engineering support in data roomsResponsible for long term production and injection forecast. Responsible for booking of reserves and resources for projectsStrong skills and experience within areas such as PVT, well test analysis and special core analysis
Minimum M.Sc. Degree in Reservoir Engineering or equivalent15 + years of relevant experienceDemonstrated field development background from the NCSSolid understanding and experience with classical reservoir engineering analysis methods and reservoir simulation Proficiency with reservoir simulation software
