Because remarkable people achieve remarkable things. Job Description:As a Senior Reservoir Engineer, you will be a member of the Well, Reservoir and Facility Management team (WRFM team) supporting Shell Brazils two operated assets, BC-10 and Bijupira-Salema.  In this role you will contribute to the development, maintenance and execution of the short through medium term Shell Brazil reservoir management plans undertaken by the WRFM team. These plans seek to increase the reserves base and to maintain the production capacity of the BC-10 and BJSA assets.Key Accountabilities: Provide surveillance and optimisation activities with respect to data acquisition, interpretation and action planning on producing mature/green fields. Perform Well Test Analysis, Reservoir Performance / Deliverability Analysis, Reservoir Management Planning, Production Forecasting, Well Productivity Analysis, and appropriate Surveillance Modelling (Material Balance, Decline Analysis, Numerical Simulation Modelling, PVT Modelling, Pressure Transient Analysis).Optimize the value of the assets with technical and economical evaluation of different investment opportunities versus optimization strategies.Lead as required business planning or annual reserves reporting activities.Acquire and analyse static and dynamic subsurface data to update models and recommend operating procedures.Assess reserves and provide annual reserves reporting for the business plan, partners and ANP.Support / Lead Production System Optimization (PSO) modeling together with the production technologists.Support / Lead various WRFM reviews from weekly, through monthly to annual reviews Assure that all the EOR techniques applicable to the field are evaluated and implemented when viable.Keep abreast of the technological development in reservoir engineering via the Shell Group network(s).Development of and coaching of less experienced Reservoir Engineering staff.  Nurturing local staff through active mentoring and IDP management is of paramount importance.Work Location:Barra da Tijuca - Rio de Janeiro / RJ Job Requirements:Experienced Reservoir Engineer with relevant years of experience, proven track record in Deepwater, turbidite environments with demonstrated leadership skills and core technical competencies. Fluency in Portuguese and English is mandatory. Specifically: An engineering degree, preferably in Petroleum, Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical EngineeringStrong relationship skills with a proven track record of successfully coaching and developing less experienced technical staffHighly motivated professional who is committed to delivering business results.Advanced knowledge of dynamic reservoir modelling and reservoir surveillance techniques as well as reserves reporting and classification.Proved practical expertise in field development planning, scenario planning, and risk and uncertainty assessment is required.Experience with water flooded fields would be an advantage.Strong analytical reasoning, ability to analyse complex issues, prioritize drivers and recommend a sound way forward.Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge or experience in the Petex Integrated Production Modelling Suite and CMGs IMEX.Experience working effectively in integrated subsurface teams, with well delivery teams, and other engineering disciplines in an integrated project environment is essential.Strong communication and relationship skills are necessary to work in integrated team environment.Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
