Brunel International France are currently recruiting for a Senior Reservoir Engineer to work for one of our clients, a leading worldwide energy company based in Paris.
In charge of appraisal, development and production reservoir and petroleum engineering activities related tosubsurface field management, within a pluri-disciplinary team
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for performing appraisal and development reservoir engineering studies. This includes:- Performing resources evaluations and associated uncertainty assessment.- Performing dynamic modelling, history matching, reservoir and field simulations (Petrel/Eclipse).- Preparing and documenting production strategy and forecasts for assigned assets for long-term projects,optimizing reserves and asset value.- Designing and interpreting production and injection tests.- Designing PVT data acquisition and laboratory analysis programs, QC results and reports.- Designing laboratory SCAL programs and following analysis process.- Assisting with external studies, QC and apply study findings.- When required, providing support for well testing operations, supervising well tests offshore. When required, acting as a technical leader on projects, coordinating cross-discipline activities. Responsible for some Joint Ventures coordination in exploration licenses. Providing technical support/mentoring to other reservoir engineers, GDPs and trainees. Responsible for being a referent, advising on procedures and workflows standardization, QC of deliverables,inspiring and motivating colleagues. Participating in peer reviews on request. Ensuring that all relevant information is stored appropriately. Preparing and documenting reserves estimates and associated reports for assigned assets. Contributing to technical proposals, reports and presentations to partners (workshops/TCM) or internally(BOR/peer review), related to Asset managers, OBO, license managers or Technical Authorities requests. Acting in compliance with Company policies and values, specifically regarding HSE.
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL INTERFACES
With Exploration / Reservoir Management teams: contribute to studies on other areas and R&D according toprioritization, share experience and knowledge. With Data Management: ensure proper cleaning and archiving of projects, as well as contact with dedicateddata loaders. With Technical Authorities: ensure implementation of good practices.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
PhD / Master Degree or equivalent in petroleum or reservoir engineering with at least 12 years of experience. Strong background in reservoir modelling, simulation and history matching. Team player, with ability to work in a pluri-disciplinary environment and integrate the other subsurfacedisciplines into a project. Ability to present results and issues
4 month renewable contract
