Job Summary
Responsibilities include:
Evaluation of development, periodic exploration step out/scenarios, reserve profiles and profitability on existing properties or potential acquisitions
Monitor drilling results and prepare / update asset type curve scenarios for economic runs
Identification and economic assessment of drilling and workover opportunities
Audits and technical reviews on projects at key milestones
Reserve calculations, reporting, and documentation with corporate engineering and third party reservoir auditors
Works with little supervision and receives some training. Assists with mentoring reservoir engineers
Work with other disciplines to delineate and optimize development of resources
Strong desire to learn new methods and technologies
Able to be self-driven and take the initiative
Education/Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in engineering; petroleum engineering preferred
Minimum of 8 years of Reservoir Engineering or related field experience
Demonstrated experience and competencies in team work, project management, and skills related to the E&P; lifecycle
Experience in oil and gas reserve estimations using SEC rules, decline curve analysis, production surveillance, and economic evaluations
Direct work experience and proficiency with economic evaluation software and Microsoft Office Suite
Able to handle complex reservoir engineering analysis including:
Decline curve projections, type curves, volumetric analysis, inflow performance, statistics and rate-transient analysis
Must be able to work in the United States indefinitely
Education/Experience Preferred
Experience in Access, Excel, ARIES, OFM, Spotfire, Arcmap GIS, IHS Harmony, Drillinginfo and IHS Enerdeq
Prior work experience and a broad understanding of the E&P; business, Permian Basin experience
