Activity levels require an experienced and energetic reservoir engineer conducting technical studies and area team development focused primarily on well performance evaluation, economics, and development optimization of the Eagle Ford trend. Job Duties: The engineer will be responsible for having a fundamental role in multi-disciplinary special projects such as completion optimization, well spacing, drawdown optimization, interference tests, offset competitor analysis, etc. This position requires coordination with STAT Budget & Planning and Corporate Reserves, as well as mentoring less experienced engineers in the group to enable learning and enhance growth opportunities within the asset team. Utilize advanced technical skills or experience to identify technical projects that add value to the STAT asset team, while performing daily engineering job functions with minimal supervision.
Development efforts should involve performing engineering tasks in many different applications/environments and applying advanced engineering skills. Training efforts in this grade should focus on intermediate to advanced technical, communication, project management, and leadership skills. Ability to collaborate with team members, asset teams, supervisors and other engineers. Willing to seek advice and expertise from corporate groups.
Accessible to less experienced personnel for mentoring and guidance. Performs other/additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: BS degree in Petroleum Engineering or closely related field required. Minimum 5 years’ experience with a well-rounded background in engineering disciplines.
Ability to work well in a team setting with other engineers and geoscientists. Self-starter with a high level of energy, strong organizational skills, and an ability to communicate with peers and executive management. Proficiency in ARIES and Spotfire required. Salary competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
