Reservoir Engineer (RE)Petroleum EngineeringHOUSTON-Energy Corridor (TX-USA)USAJob DescriptionIFDC Inc – Exploration and Field Development Consulting services in Houston with services to West African Independent Oil and Gas Companies has an immediate opening for a Reservoir Engineer (RE) to join our FDP Team. In addition to general RE requirements, specifics required are the following:Strong Petroleum Engineering background and ability to analyze complex Petroleum Engineering concepts from first principles.Specific experience in the Niger Delta and Gulf of Guinea;Expertise and recent experience in running the Eclipse simulation software; construction of the model, development of PVT with PVTSim or PVTP, well scheduling, etc. Bonus experience would be use of Petrel RE for Eclipse, integration with IPM (GAP, Prosper or other).Expertise and recent experience in running MBal, GAP, Prosper.Expertise and recent experience in stochastic (Monte Carlo) evaluations using either Crystal Ball or spreadsheet based analysis.Previous experience in exploration support and business development RE; proven track record of being able to work within a short time frame/tight deadline.Experience working in a multidiscipline environment with Geoscientists, other Petroleum Engineering Team and Facilities Engineers.Ability to work with minimum supervisionAdditional experience using economics analysis tools such as PEEP, would also be a bonus.Candidate profileTechnical Qualifications:Minimum 5 – 10 years experience in Niger Delta & Gulf of GuineaMinimum Master's degree in Reservoir or Petroleum EngineeringFluent EnglishProficient in reservoir simulation tools, such as CMG and Eclipse preferredStrong communication skills (verbal and written) with ability to effectively share information to mentor/develop othersCreative thinker with a desire to challenge the status quo and conventional thinking with the ability to implement new ideas, processes and technologiesStrong analytical and problem solving capabilities with the ability to make technically and economicallyDrives for results that significantly impact company performance with a sense of urgency.Challenges the status quo.
