Senior Reservoir engineering position for the Permian Business Unit working the Southern Delaware Basin.
Evaluation of well performance and flow characteristics using rate and pressure transient analysis, reservoir modeling, fracture modeling, decline curve analysis and volumetric analysis.
Use evaluations to generate recommendations to optimize well productivity and development planning. This includes recommendations for optimization of completion design, well targeting, well spacing, location selection, etc.
Initiate, formulate, and implement plans for data acquisition, including but not limited to, bottom hole and surface pressure monitoring, tracer analysis and DFITs.
Works closely with a team of other Geoscientists and Engineers to tie well performance to geological trends
Provides technical guidance and assistance to others in discipline
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 8 years experience in reservoir engineering
Unconventional experience is highly desirable
Proficient in utilization of IHS RTA, Well Test and other reservoir engineering software
Expert understanding of flow characteristics and reservoir driving mechanisms
Extensive knowledge of geological concepts, geophysics, and mapping techniques
Ability to organize, prioritize and make decisions under time restrictions
