Senior Reservoir Engineer, Finance and Planning

Houston, TX

Job Summary
The Senior Reservoir Engineer’s responsibilities include:
Work to develop presentations for senior management, board of directors, and the public market
Serve as liaison between the finance and planning group and other departments within the organization
Prepare numerous economic evaluations to assist in planning and budgeting
Assist in determining financial impact of potential acquisition opportunities
Work with financial analysts to refresh Company’s internal Net Asset Value (NAV) model using the latest engineered models and parameters
Monitor and analyze competitor data
Advise on operational results from a reservoir engineering standpoint
Perform audits and technical reviews on projects at key milestones
Compile internal data for performance lookbacks and present findings to management
Assist with reserve calculations, reporting and documentation with corporate engineering

Education/Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in engineering; petroleum engineering preferred
Minimum of 5 years of direct work experience as a reservoir engineer
Demonstrated experience and competencies in team work, project management, and skills related to the E&P; lifecycle
Experience in oil and gas reserve estimations using SEC rules, decline curve analysis, production surveillance, and economic evaluations
Direct work experience and proficiency with economic evaluation software (Aries experience beneficial) and Microsoft Office Suite
Must be able to work in the United States indefinitely

Education/Experience Preferred
Experience in Access, Excel, ARIES, Spotfire, and HIS
Prior work experience and a broad understanding of the E&P; business, Permian Basin experience
