Generate shareholder value through the recommendation of field development projects and solid technical evaluations with the focus on continuous improvement in overall asset performance.

Discovery Natural Resources LLC is a domestic, onshore exploration and production company with operations in Texas. The company employs over 200 people and has over 1,000 wells in operation.

Primary Responsibilities
Prepare comprehensive and effective technical recommendations including project economics to support horizontal development of multiple zone targets.
Perform reservoir surveillance (including analyzing pressure and production data) to monitor well performance and make recommendations to optimize well performance and field development accordingly.
Work with teams to evaluate and perform detailed assessments of potential acquisition and divestiture candidates.
Carry out ongoing reservoir / well evaluations as part of an integrated team and perform reservoir engineering functions including decline curve analysis, material balance, volumetrics, pressure transient analysis, etc.
Prepare production forecasts, operating plans, expenditure forecasts, etc. and evaluate economic models for asset valuations and budget preparation.
Organize and maintain well and field data information to establish reserve revisions as appropriate for quarterly reporting along and year end reserve audit.
Present project proposals and post appraisal of results to Sr. Management on a regular basis.
Education & Experience
BS in Engineering, preferably Petroleum with minimum 10 years of reservoir engineering experience with particular focus on on horizontal development of unconventional oil reservoirs
Exposure to field operations, production and drilling activities
Experience in project level technical and economic evaluations
Experience with Spotfire and statistical analysis evaluating multiple variables
Skills & Knowledge
Must be self-directed and able to work in a team-oriented environment supporting the team and making recommendations to deliver a high quality, comprehensive work product.
Must have a proven track record of adding value via technical work and recommendations with a constant focus on continuous improvement.
Must have a solid knowledge of reservoir modeling and a solid understanding of pressure transient analysis.
Must be a competent user of ARIES Windows and Spotfire and can apply Access to data management/analysis.
Must have excellent presentation, communication and technical writing skills. Must be very flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and team needs and meet established deadlines.
Must be very comfortable making technical recommendations and post appraising results.
Must be competent in applying multiple tools (frac modeling, reservoir modeling, etc) into their workflow.

Work is performed in a standard office setting. Occasional trips to field locations may be required.
