ContractGranite Oil Corp. is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer to enhance reservoir characterization and optimize development of Granite’s Alberta Bakken asset.Candidates require a strong technical background with experience in operations engineering, enhanced oil recovery evaluation / development, and reserves evaluation. The successful applicant will be required to generate detailed evaluations of reservoir performance and present development recommendations and exploitation opportunities, supported by strong technical rationale, which align with the corporate budget. The individual will also be required to prepare detailed reserves evaluations and liaise with third party reserves evaluators.Granite is seeking an individual that displays a strong desire to contribute beyond strictly mandated responsibilities. This position requires the ability to work independently with minimal oversight, and will require concise evaluation and communication of technical material.Responsibilities Integrate production, injection and reservoir data to enhance characterization of reservoir dynamics with the goal of maximizing cost-efficient oil recovery;Identify and present production and EOR optimization opportunities that improve EOR efficiencies and have demonstrable impacts on well performance and declines;Perform internal reserves analysis, coordinate with technical team to maximize reserves value, and liaise with third party reserves evaluators;Develop and present technical summaries detailing asset performance on both a production and cost basis along with recommendations for improvement;Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams on broader corporate agendas, including budget development and identification/evaluation of A&D; opportunities, where appropriate.RequirementsAPEGA-registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with 10+ years industry experience in reservoir, operations and development Engineering, and direct experience with reserve auditors;Proven success in managing and directing development of secondary EOR projects -- direct experience with gas-flood EOR would be an asset;Positive, self-motivated and dependable with a willingness to contribute beyond direct job responsibilities and accommodate short timelines when necessary;Ability to work independently and collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teams;Expert in relevant software packages (GeoScout, ValNav, Excel, IHS Harmony, etc.);Strong communication and presentation skills.We thank all applicants but only those candidates selected for interview will be contacted.
