Reporting to the General Manager, Reservoir Engineering, the successful candidate will be responsible for formulating and executing development projects to maximize the economic value of ACCEL assets in the Project area.Key ResponsibilitiesWork in a multi-discipline team to identify, evaluate, plan and execute growth opportunities through drilling and workoversIntegrate geological, geophysical, and engineering data across a broad scope of conventional and unconventional reservoirsFormulate growth opportunities via waterflood optimization, new depletion techniques (EOR) and acquisitionsPerform type curve and well test analysis on prospective reservoirsDevelop production, economic and capital forecasts for internal budgets, acquisitions and development opportunities, and reserve reportingEnsure corporate compliance with regulatory bodies in areas relating to reservoir depletion and recovery schemesConstructing reservoir models in conjunction with Geoscience staff to quantify resource in place, assess performance, and identify opportunitiesAssessing the potential, make recommendations and execute on EOR projectsRepresent ACCEL interests in joint venture activitiesQualificationsEngineering degree from a recognized educational institution and APEGA Professional Engineer AccreditationMinimum 12+ years of reservoir or exploitation engineering experience including reservoir assessments, development/exploitation, waterflood development and optimization and economic evaluationExperience working with ValNav, OFM, Geoscout and reservoir simulation software is a definite assetExperience in working in carbonate reservoirs is an assetStrong leadership and project management skills, with a track record of successfully managing and executing multiple assignments with minimal supervision.An enthusiastic, highly motivated team player with good communication, organizational and technical skillsACCEL Energy has a comprehensive benefits package and competitive salary structure commensurate with skills and experience.
