Arrow Energy is an integrated coal seam gas (CSG) company that explores and develops gas fields, produces and sells CSG and generates electricity.

Arrow produces CSG from fields in the Surat Basin in southern Queensland and the Bowen Basin in central Queensland. We have been safely and sustainably developing CSG since 2000 and supplying it commercially since 2004.

We own one of Queensland's largest power stations, Braemar 2 near Dalby, and we have interests in two others, giving us enough generation capacity to power around 800,000 homes.

On 1 December 2017, Arrow agreed one of the largest gas supply deals on Australia’s east coast, to bring to market our significant gas reserves in the Surat Basin.

Arrow is owned by a joint venture company between Shell and PetroChina. At Arrow, safety is our highest priority, and our values – lead, own, solve, integrate and respect – underpin everything we do. To meet our growing demands, we are looking for an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer.

Reporting to the Reservoir Engineering & Production Technology Manager , you will initially focus on implementation of a new database solution, with a later focus on database maintenance and ongoing data validation. You will work closely with the key stakeholders across the business, including field based operational staff to ensure the data systems meet business requirements.

In addition you will:
Adopt standard safe work practices and procedures in accordance with Arrow’s safety policies;
Support the Assets continual improvement initiatives by studying and recommending best practices, infill drilling opportunities and opportunities arising from well and reservoir reviews;
Be responsible for both long & short term production forecasting for monthly reports and economic updates, business plans, budgets and field development plans;
Be responsible for developing and maintaining the Asset Field Development Plans and associated reservoir simulation models;
Take responsibility for performance monitoring of recently completed wells and WO’s (9 months since on pump);
Drive Reservoir reviews with WRFM;
Take responsibility for inputs to Medium Term Forecasting & IAP Input;
Responsible for Quarterly Decline Curve Analysis;
Carry out Cross-Functional scope definition - provide well concept aspects of Concept Select Report.

To be successful in the role, you will:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree or the relevant science or engineering discipline.
Demonstrated experience working within the Oil & Gas industry with proven success in reservoir surveillance and performance monitoring.
Coal Seam Gas industry or project delivery experience is preferred.
Ideally have operational experience with well construction and work overs, pumped artificial lift systems.
Have well developed experience with designing.
Critical thinking analysis and reasoning, including cross-discipline aspects.
Possess professional written and oral communications skills with the ability to liaise with all levels of the organisation.
