The Role:Reporting to the Subsurface Team Leader, the Reservoir Engineer is a member of the IA multidisciplinary subsurface team. The Reservoir Engineer will: • Have a central role in reservoir management and drainage strategy • Assist in reporting to shareholders and authorities • Assist in well planning • Perform dynamic reservoir modelling, including history matching with specific responsibility for providing bi-quarterly reference cases to owners and more regular updates as necessary • Have a mentoring role for less experienced engineers • Identify and justify surveillance requirements required to optimise and maximise reservoir productivity • Contribute to the hands on interaction with departments in the integrated planning process as well as in the operation of the field itself • University degree in petroleum engineering or equivalent (Bachelor or above) + 10 years’ experience in reservoir engineering In addition to good general understanding of reservoir engineering principles the following special requirements apply: • In depth knowledge of Eclipse (E100 and E300) including network options • Good hands on knowledge of history matching • Considerable experience in reservoir model construction using RMS IPL or other scripting incl. visual basic (Excel macros) • IPM software (Mbal, GAP, Prosper) • Knowledge of well test and log interpretation software (Emeraud/Saphir) would also be beneficial • Track record in HSE commitment and delivery is essential • Excellent communicating skills • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment • Positive attitude, demonstrating drive and determination • Team player, committed to building good working relationships) • Ability to handle challenges and take initiative, while being independent and creative) • Good command of English necessary, knowledge of French is an advantageAbout Fircroft:Fircroft has been placing people in specialist technical industries for approaching half a century, focusing on mid to senior level engineers for contract and permanent roles worldwide.
