SENIOR RESERVOIR ENGINEERCONTEXT: The Post Holder will be allocated to the Asset Geosciences team and will actively contribute to HSE evaluation of operations; develop, recommend and implement reservoir management strategies to maximise the value of the Asset (i.e. production optimisation);identify, develop and promote opportunities for further development of the fields. The Post Holder may be called onsite to witness operations on an ad hoc basis.MAIN ACTIVITIES:Evaluate resources and reserves ranges of field development projects in association with his / her G&G; colleagues. Expected to provide an evaluation of subsurface risks and uncertainties of these projects. Fluent in reservoir simulation techniques, model building, decline curve analysis.Performs analysis of field and well production behaviour incorporating G&G; understanding of the field in order to define the reservoir management strategy and to propose production optimising operations. Prepares Well Intervention Requests and WSOR documents.May be called offshore to witness relevant operations such as PLT’s, perforations, Cased hole Pulse Neutron logging, Well Testing, offshore PVT sampling and production chemistry. Usually delegated to less experienced engineers.Performs yearly reserves and profile evaluations for the Prime, LTP exercises. Performs prospect evaluations, data rooms, and Direct Resource Opportunities studies. Present evaluations to Partner meetings, HQ peer reviews, UK authoritiesMentors less experienced Reservoir Engineers.Apply Company’s Health, Safety and Environment Policy and Safety Management SystemTo identify and promote value adding opportunities (i.e. production and reserves increases)Performing reserves / resources evaluation autonomously in accordance with Group standards and within tight timelinesResponsible for WSOR and Well Intervention geosciences inputs, in particular for safety critical parameters such as reservoir pressure evaluations and fluid properties. Managing HQ or external studies. Develops budget recommendations for technical work.Plays a key technical role in projects / 2G&R; studies. Demonstrates initiative and leadership within the 2G&R; team. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:BSc Hons Degree in Engineering or related discipline (MSc preferred)Significant experience in reservoir engineering related topics in the oil industry, including field experience of reservoir monitoring activities (i.e. witnessing DST, wireline logging, perforations). Has performed project development studies sanctioned by a REGIS or equivalent peer reviews. Has experience in preparation and follow up of well construction operations (i.e. WSOR preparation, completion design)Good understanding of geological and geophysical concepts such as sequential stratigraphy correlations, geophysical interpretation, seismic acquisition and processing.Good understanding of project economics, well construction concepts and hazards, completion operations and design, well lift performance, allocation.
