The Senior Reservoir Engineer will be responsible for Providing fact-based and defensible engineering presentations of acquisitions and/or divestitures to senior management and potential buyers and sellers, including technical facts, reservoir, and economic analysis, as well as opinions on future development of the asset and the upside value associated with said development

Description

  • Create production profiles for economic modeling based on EUR distributions of horizontal and vertical wells, tie to OOIP and recovery factor assumptions, history match, well spacing analyses, rig options and capital and LOE requirements
  • Develop LOE premise for acquisitions and assess LOS
  • Identify key reservoir engineering issues associated with opportunities under evaluation and provide guidance to the team and senior management
  • Proficient conventional and un-conventional production decline analysis
  • Integrate geological, reservoir, land and production data into economic model
  • Economic analysis (Perform economic evaluations of potential development projects such as, but not limited to, drilling opportunities, work overs, facilities and field expansions, etc. Valuation of acquisition and divestment acreage and/ or interests will also be performed. Economic analysis will typically include conventional cash flow analysis with forecasting of production rates, acquiring pertinent price forecasts, capital investments, and operating costs from respective groups, and assuring the correct assumptions regarding timing, taxes, economic limit, etc.)
  • Mentoring (Provide mentoring and coaching to junior reservoir engineering staff, other disciplines, and management)

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering preferred
  • Tight Gas/ Unconventional resource experience preferred
  • Technical Proficiency: (preferred) Aries, RTA Analysis, WellFlo (nodal
  • analysis), IHS Enerdeq, DI (DrillingInfo)
  • Proficient user of Spotfire
  • Exposure to Enersight and Kingdom
  • 7 to 10 year experience

Job Offer

$120,000.00-$180,000.00
