Senior Reservoir Engineer


  • Evaluate oil and gas reservoirs
  • Review client supplied technical data from fields and reservoirs
  • Analyze production performance curves
  • Review well log and geological data to prepare volumetric estimates of oil and gas in-place
  • Estimate oil and gas recovery factors using pressure and well performance data
  • Make use of numerical simulators to evaluate and forecast oil and gas reservoir performance
  • Perform economic analyses of forecast oil and gas production with consideration of taxation issues
  • Additional responsibilities may include assessing costs and production capabilities; monitoring production rates; planning workover activities to improve production; analyzing data in order to recommend processes to enhance production; and developing drilling plans for oil and gas fields and plans for the production and treatment of fluids
  • 25% travel required


Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Natural Gas Engineering, Geoscience, Geophysics, Mathematics, or related equivalent engineering degree
  • 2 years of experience in:
    • Reserves estimation and reporting of fields
    • Field development planning
    • Oil & gas production forecasting
    • Analyzing data to recommend processes to enhance production
    • Numerical simulation
  • Foreign degree accepted (Employer will accept university level experience in lieu of work experience in job offered or alternate occupation. Employer will accept bachelor’s degree and five years of post-baccalaureate experience in lieu of Master’s degree and 2 years of experience.  Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.)
