The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and goal-oriented, with an encouraging attitude of working in an integrated technical team environment.
Responsible for supporting unconventional reservoir studies (Shale Oil and Gas) in different areas: reserve estimation, rate transient analysis (RTA), well test analysis, well spacing, interference analysis, and reservoir characterization. The candidate should have 10 years of experience with numerical simulation using CMG or Eclipse, and the capability to mentor other colleagues with this software. The incumbent will be accountable for the use of best-practice work processes, project, and quality in the area of reservoir analysis and modeling.
Master of Science degree in Petroleum and Reservoir engineering.
More than 3 or 4 years of experience modeling multi-frac horizontal wells is mandatory for this position, the goal is to evaluate different scenarios of production forecasting taking into consideration all different aspects related to these assets: completion strategy, reservoir heterogeneity, fracture geometry, rock properties, etc.
Experience using Tableau or Spotfire for data analytics will be considered beneficial for this position.
Strong knowledge on IHS Markit software platforms is very important for this position:
IHS-Harmony for RTA/ DCA.
IHS-WellTest will be considered a plus.
Other activities related to this position are: Support the business development strategies for new projects, and constant interaction with clients.
Must possess excellent communication and written skills.
Effectively communicating with management, reservoir characterization teams, engineering teams, and other stake holders. Demonstrated ability to work well in teams.
Strong analytic skills and ability to handle complex datasets.
