Resourceful Recruitment share a proud partnership with this employer-of-choice, a company establishing one of Queensland’s multi-billion dollar CSG (coal seam gas) to LNG (liquefied natural gas) projects. To support the efficient delivery of their next phase of development, they seek to grow their subsurface team and hire a Senior Reservoir Engineer.

Summary:

You will support the generation of the production forecast and quantify the uncertainty range, contribute to the content and publication of the FDP, the generation of the reserves position and provide occasional support to the exploration team.

Key accountabilities:

  • Apply reservoir engineering expertise leading projects and presenting analysis and recommendations at peer and functional reviews
  • Provide leadership in sub-surface development planning.
  • Ensure all reservoir uncertainties are identified and incorporated into forward appraisal and development plans
  • Delivers reservoir engineering elements of the field development plan and JV work programmes
  • Integrate results, improve reservoir description and understand well performance
  • Develops new and improves existing subsurface workflows
  • Run and manipulate Enersight forecasting tool

Knowledge and experience required:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in petroleum engineering with relevant experience
  • Significant reservoir engineering experience including reserve assessments, development planning and business planning for a global operator
  • High degree of reservoir modelling and simulation skill
  • Experience dealing with complex field planning issues and placing them in an overall business context for supporting strategic business decisions
  • Previous experience in CSG development would be advantageous
  • Strong communicator, able to convey key business objectives and present them clearly to all stakeholders
