Reservoir Engineer 

DATES: Start ASAP to end of December 2017 (plus potential for further extension)
LOCATION: Aberdeen Offices 

A leading worldwide Oil & Gas operator is looking to recruit a Senior Reservoir Engineer on a contract / consultant basis due to a recently restructured Exploration team, the job holder will be assigned to the UK Exploration / New Ventures team and perform evaluations of Prospects and Direct Resource Opportunities for the UK, Norway and the Netherlands sectors.

Identify and promote value adding opportunities
Perform resource evaluation autonomously in accordance with Group standards and within tight timelines
Coordinate Prospect / DRO evaluations with the Development Studies Engineers, Exploration / New Ventures Project Leaders and G&G; teams
Continuously improve the Prospective Resources and DRO evaluation process and methodology
Play a key technical role in projects/ 2G&R; studies.
Demonstrates initiative and leadership within the 2G&R; team

Minimum BSc Hons Degree in Engineering or related discipline (MSc preferred)
Demonstrates extensive experience of UK and/or Norwegians sectors by:
oTrack record of prospect evaluations / data rooms of these sectors
oHas worked on the reservoir management / development of multiple Fields
At least 10+ years of experience in reservoir engineering in the oil industry, including field experience of reservoir monitoring activities (i.e. witnessing DST, wireline logging, perforations,...).
Has performed project development studies.
Has experience in preparation and follow up of well construction operations
Good understanding of geological and geophysical concepts such as sequential stratography correlations, geophysical interpretation, seismic acquisition and processing.
Good understanding of project economics, well construction concepts and hazards, completion operations and design, well lift performance, field development projects
Reference in terms of Reservoir Engineering techniques.
Able to mentor less experienced reservoir Engineers.
