technology activities within feasibility studies, conceptual and detailed
engineering phases of Cendor 2 development project. Participates in development
of life cycle production targets, economic, contractual and reservoir
management objectives, ongoing enhancement of the field production, together
with the other team members.
Responsible for proactively leading the management
of risk to people with the team.
Ensure that Health, Safety, Security, Environment
and Asset Integrity personal objectives and targets are understood at all
Works with Project Team to define the life cycle
based well completion designs (artificial lift, sand face, upper completion)
Works with the Project Team for the preparation of
the conceptual and detailed well completion Basis of Designs and Well test
Basis of Designs.
Works with the Project Team to:
Define different artificial lift methods applicable
for new infill wells
Prepare artificial lift / well type matrix
Identify rig & rigless artificial lift
Identify artificial lift intervention requirements
for repair and / or optimization
Evaluate rigless vs. rig interventions
Define artificial lift operation and monitoring
Identify best applicable performance monitoring
Evaluate operational practices applicable in Cendor
Estimate cost & added value of monitoring
Discuss artificial lift types with equipment
suppliers and Peer Review Workshop
Start conceptual artificial lift design for each
Prepare artificial lift design in conjunction with
“Design tubulars, auxiliary equipment, cables,
pumps, motors, protectors, etc.”
Evaluate technical feasibility
Determine technical challenges and mechanical risks
Identify hazardous situations and risks involved
Estimate extra power & facility upgrade
Perform economic & risk analysis
Write report on artificial lift strategy
Reviews well/field performances with the advice of
Reservoir Engineering and Geoscientists for optimum ultimate recovery, to
recommend required workovers for production improvements.
Prepares all single well models (nodal analysis)
and ensures all are validated and matched with the actual well data.
Analyses individual well gas lift performances and
proposes remedial activities.
Analyses production chemistry effects on well
Reviews historical well stimulation activities and
Analyzes and defines the cause of well performance
failures and generates candidates for productivity enhancement.
Proposes & designs preventative and remedial
Provides an assessment of safety and environmental
impact for all recommendations.
Creates cost estimates and manages cost, schedule
and quality of the respective production enhancement services to be executed by
Participate in HAZOP’s, risk assessments and other
workshops as required for project execution.
Provides key link between subsurface group, drilling
& well construction, production operations and other parties.
Interfaces between the various disciplines in the
Close-out project for document archiving.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or Earth
Science from recognized university
Minimum 8 years working experience in similar
position, preferably with an oil company
Technical knowledge of and familiarity with aspects
of reservoir characterisation, drilling, well testing, well operations, process
facilities and production chemistry.
Very familiar with software covering well test
analysis, well flow analysis, OFM
Analytical and interpretative skills / expertise in:
Multiphase flow modelling and prediction, including
artificial lift design
Completion architecture and design.
Factors affecting well productivity and operation.
Well versed in Microsoft Offices (Excel, Words and
