StavangerDNO Norge AS is looking for an experienced Senior Production Geoscientist to join the North Sea Asset Team in Stavanger.
You will work as part of an integrated team managing both operated and non-operated fields in appraisal, development or production phases. DNO hold acreage in the Ula, Tambar, Oda, Blane, Trym, Vilje, Ringhorne East and Brage Fields in the North Sea. In addition, we have several development opportunities in the area. You will be responsible for subsurface evaluations and studies within the geology & geophysics disciplines, identifying and maturing new resource opportunities within existing assets and new discoveries. You will have responsibility for integrating data to build high quality static models for use in field development planning and production. This will include work on new and existing field development plans, evaluation of infill and work-over opportunities and exploration.
Participate in field development planning for new and existing fields
Generate and mature exploration, appraisal opportunities into drillable targets
Deliver evaluations of new production and development opportunities wells, work overs and other well interventions (operated / non-operated).
Build fit for purpose static models to allow evaluation of fields at all stages from discovery, appraisal through to production and late life phases.
Knowledge of seismic interpretation, and evaluation of 4D survey results.
Work together with other disciplines to provide integrated technical and business advice for example; drilling & wells, geology / geophysics, reservoir engineering, process / facilities, commercial and exploration.
TC / RC / EC representative in oil and gas field joint ventures as appropriate
Contribute within the geoscience discipline area to work programmes for licences / assets (either operated or non-operated).
Participate in peer reviews (internal and licence)
Participate in business development opportunity evaluation
Communication, cooperation and professional development
Promote sharing of information across asset and discipline
Maintain and develop professional knowledge base, particularly best practice
Keep abreast of new developments within geoscience and explore techniques relevant for development and production opportunities
Act as an adviser and coach for the less experienced staff
HSE management and compliance
Contribute to the HSE performance for non-operated and/or operated assets and any other activities undertaken or managed by the North Sea team
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in HSE performance
MSc Geology or equivalent
8-10 years or more in development and production geoscience roles
Strong understanding / competent in North Sea geology
Experienced with operated development activity
Competent in building of static models and integrating with other subsurface disciplines to produce field development plans
Knowledge of seismic interpretation techniques, and other geophysical tools such as attribute analysis and use of 4D surveys
Broad knowledge base, including awareness of other subsurface disciplines, exploration, operations geology, drilling and wells, petrophysics and reservoir engineering
Effective communication and collaboration skills, ability to building relationships and to influence
Ability to work effectively in a multi discipline team environment
Fluent in English written and oral
