Description

Greylock Energy is seeking a senior production engineer to serve in a key leadership role in direct support of natural gas production and development operations in Appalachia. This individual will lead a team that provides technical support for the entire well life-cycle from initial flowback to well retirement. This position will work collaboratively and effectively with field personnel and will also serve as a member of a multi-disciplinary development team to accomplish big goals. The ideal candidate should have strong ability to use data to identify, plan, and justify production-related capital projects.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Daily surveillance, forecasting and budgeting of production volumesRecommending opportunities for optimization, production improvement, flow assurance, and downtime reduction of unconventional and conventional wells and surface facilitiesDesigning, executing, and supervising well work to include well intervention, work over, plugging & abandonment, and artificial lift system installation/operationManaging capital projects through every step including ideation, design, cost estimating, economic evaluation, proposal, execution, and assessmentAssembling, analyzing, processing, and understanding production and cost-related data to draw relevant conclusions and provide recommendations for solutionsSupervising production-related operations required for new well development including flowback, turn-in-line, process startup and operational handoffsDeveloping and/or researching new techniques and approaches to enhance production rates and reduce operating costsIn addition to technical tasks, the individual in this role will also:Advance the professional development of junior production engineersDelegate production responsibilities, empower others, and create accountability methods to ensure effective and appropriate coordination of activities and resources.Maintain high standards for self and teamEnsure excellent day-to-day well surveillance analysis and interventionActively build a great team culture supporting organizational valuesPrepare and conduct professional project and AFE presentations to senior management including CEORequirements: 7+ years of oil & gas operations and/or engineering experience (production preferred)BS in a relevant engineering disciplineStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work directly with all employees from field personnel to top management Travel on a regular basis to field locationsBase location is Charleston, West VirginiaAll candidates must be Permanent Residents or US Citizens to be consideredPreferred Skills:Appalachian natural gas production experienceSoftware experience with Merrick, Spotfire, Fekete products, and PHDWin First hand field experience with service rigs, coiled tubing, slick-line, e-line, pressure pumping, production testing, artificial lift systems, and production chemicalsIADC WellCAP CertificationBenefits: Flexible work schedulesCompetitive salaryExcellent health insurance401k with company matchReimbursement for qualified educational expensesDependent child scholarshipsBackground checks will be required of all candidates for consideration.
