The Role

This is a unique opportunity for experienced Production Engineers join Origin’s Integrated Gas business and take an influential role within the APLNG venture. Based in Brisbane, the positions are responsible for supporting the operational asset teams. Current roles available include:
Senior Production Engineer – Condabri, Talinga & Orana
Production Engineer – Reedy Creek, Combabula & Peat
Production Engineer – Spring Gully
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Field Strategy and Performance: Maintain and improve process to optimise and maintain field performance
Gas Availability: Maintain and improve availability through managing pumping and completion systems and Operating philosophy to minimise well downtime and maximise reliability
Short Term Forecasting: Provide support to the Reservoir, Appraisal and Development Engineers producing the monthly forecast, identifying uplift opportunities, informing of operational issues and conducting well reviews
Well Integrity: Maintaining well in conformance with well integrity standards
Provide Technical Support: in process safety; artificial lift types and design; and vertical, fracture stimulated and horizontal well design, operation and optimisation
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop your skills and experience in well integrity, well availability and production optimisation, while gaining excellent exposure to the APLNG Project.

Is This You?

Recognised Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering (or similar relevant discipline)
Upstream oil / gas experience with CSG background preferred
Sound knowledge of the technical and commercial aspects of Production Engineering
Experience selecting and optimising a range of artificial lift types or a solid background in reservoir engineering
Experience in monitoring large volumes of well data - to identify wells with deviations from target and that require action planning to minimise production supply losses
Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively with key members of a wide range of stakeholders - proven ability to influence outcomes through negotiation
RPEQ or CPEng accreditation is advantageous
