Senior Production Engineer – Role Overview
Together with operations, wells and reservoir engineering teams, the Senior Production Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the assets wells produce the required hydrocarbons to meet the business plan.
You will monitor well performance, organise work to gather well data and work with operations and wells teams to optimise and maintain production on a continuous basis and Provide petroleum engineering support and technical advice on a wide range of opportunities from exploration to development and production.
You will be involved in commercially or technically significant projects and/or complex, non-routine assignments which require the application of considerable technical petroleum engineering expertise in order to increase business profitability

Senior Production Engineer – Role Accountabilities
Continuous monitoring of production and injection performance on existing fields to optimize production and maximize recovery
Asset focal point for well performance and production optimisation
Asset focal point for well production chemistry and PVT
Daily Monitoring of production versus MPP
Production Loss Reporting
Short Term Production Forecasts
Lead annual well reviews and own well risks/opportunities required to protect and/or increase production
Prepare well Intervention and data Acquisition programmes
Perform economic analyses on opportunities
Provide technical input/support to new field development planning
Project manage outsourced petroleum engineering studies
Planning, execution and intepretation of technical programmes in conjunction with wells, operations and geoscience teams.
Assist in preparation of exploration, appraisal and development programmes
Prepare and present material as required internally and to third parties e.g. Regulator/JV partners
Assess production risks for opportunities
Take a lead role in many of these activities/projects and/or supervise and co-ordinate the activities of other team members

Senior Production Engineer – Knowledge & Qualifications
Proven track record of effectively working with operations teams to troubleshoot wells and optimize production
Educated to Degree level, ideally MSc in Reservoir or Petroleum Engineering
Proven ability to undertake important projects and/or highly complex assignments/tasks requiring the application of highly-developed technical skills and knowledge without supervision.
Proven track record with well operations (well planning etc.).
Good awareness of e.g. legislation, licensing, fiscal issues, relevant to the oil and gas industry.
User of production reporting and allocation packages (e.g. Pi, Process net).
Strong communication / presentation/ writing skills.
Good commercial awareness/understanding project financing/cost control principles.
Proven ability to undertake complex tasks requiring the application of well-developed technical skills and knowledge with limited supervision.
Proven leadership-builder with the ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
Naturally curious.
The job holder must possess strong operational knowledge of the upstream or other high hazard industry.
Significant experience in engineering and operations
Significant experience within pipeline engineering; RBI programmes, intelligent pigging, pipeline seabed surveys.
Track record of continuous professional development
