TGS provides multi-client geoscience data to oil and gas Exploration and Production companies worldwide. In addition to extensive global geophysical and geological data libraries that include multi-client seismic data, magnetic and gravity data, digital well logs, production data and directional surveys, TGS also offers advanced processing and imaging services, interpretation products, permanent reservoir monitoring and data integration solutions.
Will work on 2D, 3D, time or depth processing projects independently or mentor/supervise less experienced staff on projects which require two or more processors
Duties and Responsibilities:
Completes assigned tasks, ensuring projects meet or exceed quality and turnaround objectives
Proficient in the role of Lead Geophysicist or Processing Team Leader on one or more processing projects
Monthly and weekly percentage of completion (POC) forecast and reporting for assigned processing projects
Ensure proper use of assigned disk and computer allocation
Maintain accurate production records and status reporting
Preparation and shipping of final data deliverables on assigned processing projects
Check Pilot Signoffs and Peer Reviews
Be responsible to a large degree for doing day-to-day data QC
Able to process (or manage the processing) of several projects and people concurrently
Lead client meetings for key geophysical topics
Plays a significant role in the training and mentoring of staff
Complete assigned tasks and projects on time
Ensure high quality velocity model building
Test and implement cutting edge signal processing and imaging technologies for complex problem solving
Ability to identify and solve complex geophysical problems
Demonstrate personal commitment to living the TGS values

Job Requirements (Education and Experience):
Master degree in Geophysics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math or related field or PhD in lieu of some work experience
A minimum of 10 years of processing experience
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Demonstrates a high degree of innovation in tackling problems
Has comprehensive knowledge to solve the more complex geophysical problems
Capable of being a Processing Expert in four or more areas.
Enjoys working in a team environment but can work independently.
Good grasp of geophysical and geological principles
Advanced problem solving and multi-tasking skills are needed
Ability to effectively organize teams and projects
Knowledge of the business side of processing and dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of the customers
