Beicip-Franlab, an affiliate of IFP Energies Nouvelles, is the French leader and is one of the world's leading players in consulting and studies related to the oil and gas industry, as well as the publishing and sale of related software to these activities.
Beicip-Franlab provides software and services solutions in exploration, reservoir and field development, production optimization, process optimization, refinery studies, covering the technical and economic aspects.
A successful candidate will be expected to manage multidisciplinary projects in processes, estimation, economics and operational optimization more specifically in the refining area. He will be reporting directly to the process and production optimization team leader. This position is based in our main office in France near Paris with opportunities to travel abroad.
Acting as Project Manager, the successful candidate will be expected to:
Perform process calculations of material balance, energy balance and control unit operations of chemical engineering ;
Work actively in and/or manage an integrated project team;
Interact with the client for data collection, results presentation and discussion;
Apply new methods and to be creative in the proposed technical solutions;
Supervise multidisciplinary projects in processes, estimation, economics and operational optimization;
Coach Junior Engineers in their daily work.
The candidate will also assist Beicip-Franlab's downstream activities manager with technical and commercial tasks related to the development of the downstream domain, including proposals preparation.
This is an ideal role for an experienced, innovative and ambitious process engineer who wishes to be actively contributing to successful international projects.
The successful candidate will have:
An engineering degree in chemical engineering;
Strong knowledge of refining processes
At least 5 years of experience in upstream and downstream process;
Good skills in process simulations (PROII, Hysis)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral;
A confident and assertive personality with the ability to provide effective technical leadership and articulate strong technical arguments;
Experience of working abroad;
Fluent English and French mandatory, other language advantageous;
A commitment for mobility as the job may include short-term and long-term missions overseas.
