Description

Contribute to build an excellent multidisciplinary petroleum technology competence (PTC) team in Moscow

Provide petrophysical expertise for the Moscow PTC team

Perform petrophysical evaluation, follow up logging operation, perform log interpretation and evaluate laboratory results on behalf of Statoil and possibly on behalf of the operators.

Quality control, contribute to, and follow up operator’s petrophysical activities.

The team will follow up the operator on the North Komsomolskoye (NK) test and pilot, and the subsequent Field Development evaluation and decision.

The team will also be responsible for following up the operator of the Kharyaga drilling and production. Kharyaga is a mature carbonate oil field that gives valuable income through production. It is important to work on increasing reserves and oil production.

Other important tasks include data room evaluation and participation in business development activities.

Office based in Moscow.

Some Field visits and visits to research institutes in Siberia may be required.

Qualifications Master or PhD in relevant technical discipline

Minimum 10 years industry experience

Experience with petrophysical interpretation

Good technical knowledge about some of the main Russian oil and gas provinces

Good knowledge of some of the main Russian oil and gas companies

Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications

Strong technical skills, ability to work well with others and a desire to make a difference on potentially significant impact opportunities

Solid experience and skills in reservoir simulation

Capable to work with a large amount of data, and present and work with stakeholders, both internal and external

Excellent software skills.
