For one of Our Clients in Stavanger we are looking for Senior Petrophysicist to provide support for a variety of Our Clients Activities. Duration 13months.

Consultant position as Senior Petrophysicist are open and linked to both operated and non-operated assets, in production or in planning phase. The chosen candidates will be joining our client's team of petrophysicists in Stavanger. One of the main focus for this position will be on Rock Physics analysis (synthetic data and fluid substitution).
The Petrophysics team, interfaces with other technical disciplines on a daily basis and provide them with advice and interpretations on rock properties and physics. It is therefore necessary that the candidates are good team workers and able to interface other disciplines such as geology, geophysics, reservoir engineering and drilling.
The candidate should also be able to actively seek advice and perspectives from colleagues and leaders within own section, as well as contribute to our client's excellence. All work within the candidates area of responsibility is expected to be planned and executed safely and efficiently.
Duties and responsibilities

Interpret CCA and LWD/WL log data and deliver standard property data (users: ResDev, Exploration, Well Planning).
Topics such as shaly sands and thinbed analysis is considered as a standard skillset. Knowledge of this is a minimum
Rock Physics analysis (synthetic data and fluid substitution) to exploration and ILX activities. Knowledge of this is a minimum
Interpret SCAL data for parametrization of above mentioned interpretation
Interpret SCAL data and deliver Saturation Height Functions to geomodelers
Complete Offset well studies and deliver input to Blow Out Analysis and well planning
Design data acquisition programs for exploration, appraisal and reservoir development. Support real time operation and decision-making
Develop full understanding of remaining reservoir opportunities that could be economically justified in an effort to maximize production and value from the field
Contribute to the Petrophysics network with new perspectives, new methods and new code
Coaching and mentoring of junior staff
Qualifications

M.Sc or Ph.d in subsurface discipline or mathematics/physics
10 years of petrophysics experience. Experience from operating oil company
Working knowledge of Geology, Geophysics, Reservoir Engineering as well as Drilling in order to interface other disciplines in discussions
Basic understanding of uncertainty
Software skills within Techlog and/or Geolog
Python and/or C++/Fortran/Loglan coding skills are considered as an advantage
