The CRC Technical Resources Team is seeking to fill a Sr. Petrophysicist position to support our California operations located in Bakersfield, CA.

Conduct all tasks related to petrophysical property characterization using a combination of data sources, including well logs, cores, and geologic analogues
Prepare the logging and core programs & QC the subcontractor's outputs
Integration of all data sets into consistent, verifiable petrophysical models of wells and stratigraphic intervals for incorporation into static and dynamic reservoir models for volumetric prediction and development planning
Ongoing collaboration with industry leaders on the evolution of new petrophysical techniques and technologies being developed and communication of these to the team and client
Development and deployment of new petrophysical techniques and technologies, including collaboration with other client team's and business lines to ensure robust and consistent application
Prepare/review /present reports to support team goals

Required qualifications:
Bachelor's in Geosciences or related scientific /engineering degree
Petrophysicist with 10 years of industry experience, including 5 years related to challenging Petrophysical issues related to mature assets
Must be able to handle multiple tasks and meet short-term deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skill set
Strong working knowledge of wireline tool responses, including those heavily utilized for mature reservoir characterization
Hands on experience with advanced log analysis software
Managing subsurface property uncertainties and designing data acquisition programs to address key uncertainties
Familiarity with cased hole evaluation techniques to understand zonal isolation, determine flow contribution, constrain current saturation, manage sweep efficiency
Expertise in acquisition, QC and use of core-derived petrophysical properties, including SCAL measurements to build and constrain petrophysical and fractional flow models
Ability to take project from data through model development including core and validated with production, to end product used by asset team
Broad basin and lithology interpretation experience, including unconventional resources
Geomechanics experience for drilling and completion including calibration of rock properties with core for improved computations, pore pressure and wellbore stability, fracture gradient and stimulation design, subsidence, sand control and cap rock integrity
Familiar with other subsurface disciplines and their role in delivering producing assets
