One of the leading Operators and a key client of Prodrill's in the Middle East are now looking for an experienced Senior Petroleum Engineer ( Well Integrity Specialist ) on a Residential basis for a long term contract. ROLE PURPOSE: Supervises and controls petroleum engineering activities related to the preparation and execution of programmes for well testing, completion, workover, production logging, well evaluation and monitoring activities to ensure proper reservoir management. Includes reviewing and amending drilling and workover schedules, well performance evaluation, well monitoring programmes, well stimulations and wire-line production logging. Acquire wellhead integrity data and wireline logging to identify its corrosion of tubing, casing and perform any other activity related to well integrity. Reviews reports prepared by subordinate Engineers such as drilling proposals, well completion, well testing, well monitoring and performance reports. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Well Design & Monitoring Prepares and supervises the well monitoring programmes as required. Includes drawing up the programmes, recommending monitoring survey method for individual well i.e. bottom hole pressure survey, production logging survey (PCT), Thermal Decay Tools (TDT), etc., supervising well monitoring surveys at well site, interpreting and evaluating tests and logs for detecting reservoir tendency, estimating actual producing zone and injection zone, etc. Summarizes findings and advises Supervisor accordingly. Drilling Ensures proper compilation of pertinent drilling data and oversee conduct of various analyses such as torque and drag to optimise drilling objectives Oversee the investigation of various drilling problems in order to provide solutions which enable optimisation of drilling Operational Efficiency Optimisation Directs the preparation of acidisation programmes for well stimulation, ensuring minimum cost and maximum benefits taking into account the characteristics of each well such as flow rates, pressure and strength of acid to be used, etc. Oversee and supervises proper monitoring of down hole corrosion. Includes the running of corrosion logs in new and workover wells and the installation of corrosion coupons in key wells, investigating the frequency of repairs of corroded completion strings and its repair methods. Liaises with Production personnel concerning results obtained and the effectiveness of inhibitors used. Well Performance Evaluation Review well and field production performance and recommend work over and/or well services to meet the production objectives Assess the recovery from well in order to provide advice on abandonment Well Testing and sampling programs Oversees the reviewing and selection of testing methods, completion methods and completion strings, supervising testing and well completion activities carried out by Contractors/Consultants to ensure compliance with approved programmes, drafting well testing and completion reports and processing to Supervisor for review and comments. Well Integrity Monitoring and Risk Assesment Prepares and supervises the well monitoring programmes related to well integrity. Includes drawing up the programmes, recommending monitoring survey method for individual well i.e., EMIT, PMIT, Hot Tapping, Wellhead pressure test, etc., supervising well integrity surveys at well site, interpreting and evaluating survey data and logs for risk assessment and prepare its recommendation to the drilling section for future remedial workover jobs. Summarizes findings and advises Supervisor accordingly. Planning and Forecasting Prepares and supervises the well monitoring programmes related to well integrity. Includes drawing up the programmes, recommending monitoring survey method for individual well i.e., EMIT, PMIT, Hot Tapping, Wellhead pressure test, etc., supervising well integrity surveys at well site, interpreting and evaluating survey data and logs for risk assessment and prepare its recommendation to the drilling section for future remedial workover jobs. Summarizes findings and advises Supervisor accordingly. KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Knowledge Bachelor’s degree in Engineering e.g. Mechanical, Petroleum or Reservoir engineering. Masters will be preferable. Experience 8-10 years of relevant petroleum engineering experience including well integrity activities in the Oil & Gas sector preferably offshore. Skills Well planning and design skills, good communication skills, analytical skills, good interpersonal skills.
