The Role:• Work with subsurface and operations teams to ensure production is fully optimised via well, reservoir and facility surveillance • Build, maintain and use appropriate petroleum engineering tools e.g. Prosper, GAP, etc. • Work with subsurface and well engineering to identify and mature potential well interventions to increase production and/or gather critical information • Work with subsurface and drilling teams to optimise completion design for new wells and workover strategy • Be responsible for management of production data, identifying, justifying and implementing improvements including completion of short term production forecasts • Interface with operations personnel to ensure subsurface requirements are delivered e.g. during well operations • Required to go offshore when required during critical well operations or workovers PERSON SPECIFICATION Interpersonal • Ability to work with individuals from a varied background in a multi-cultural environment • Presents themselves in a professional and ethical manner appropriate to the client's values including presenting to all levels within organisation • Maintain a safe working environment, complying with and promoting the Company’s HSE&A policy • Works collaboratively within a team environment and takes initiative to get things done • Ability to communicate in a respectful manner, both verbally and written Skills & attributes • A motivated self-starter, proactive, flexible and able to respond positively to challenge and ad-hoc requests • Ability to contribute to the team, but equally work on own initiative with minimum supervision • Strives for continuous improvement; brings solutions and constantly seeks new and better ways to work to achieve Operations Excellence • Actively shares Company vision and demonstrates ability to adapt to change Experience • Demonstrate experience in a production environment in a Petroleum Engineering, Production Technology or Well Engineering capacity. • Extensive oil industry experience gained working within Operations, in an E & P operator within UKCS • Working knowledge of petroleum geology, petrophysics and reservoir engineering techniques is essential as the position involves work within a multidisciplinary team • Offshore experience essential, ideally with well completions and interventions QUALIFICATIONS Essential • Degree qualified – relevant engineering degree • Able to demonstrate an aptitude for learning and continuous personal and professional development Desired • Petroleum Engineering degree would be advantageous • Offshore survival and medical certificationAbout Fircroft:Fircroft has been placing people in specialist technical industries for approaching half a century, focusing on mid to senior level engineers for contract and permanent roles worldwide.
