Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Carries out surveillance activities of assigned wells to advise on or program work and study requirements to optimise well and reservoir production.
Receives, records and analyzes production and test data, such as various well-tests, water cuts, flow rates, etc., and notes anomalies for investigation in liaison with Reservoir Engineers and Field Operations personnel.
Recommends requirements for well workover prognosis to optimise safe production testing and logging operations.
Participates in the preparation of detailed proposals for routine completion, testing and workover program or special program for well stimulation and corrosion and scaling inhibition.
Reviews well history and verifies well-head and downhole pressures, flow rates, etc., to calculate or design standard program features applicable to proposed work.
Prepares design concepts for wells and facilities. Includes identifying well types (production/injection, vertical, deviated horizontal, slim) configuration and total number of wells to meet development concept(s) taking into consideration, tubing, producing casing size, need for artificial lift, future recompletion and abandonment requirement.
Qualification Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related engineering discipline.
Experience Required
6-8 years wide Petroleum Engineering experience (with strong experience in drilling operations) and at least 3 years in a senior position.
