Joining the Africa regional team and reporting to the Senior Project Supervisor, the Senior Structural Geologist will provide structural geological and/or geophysical data acquisition, analysis and interpretation, working within project specific teams, across all Robertson regions worldwide.
The successful candidate must have the ability to contribute to projects using a range of structural geological techniques and methodologies, inclusive of advanced structural geological mapping in the field and software aided numerical analyses (including fracture and kinematic modelling).
You must also have a demonstrable understanding of all Petroleum Geoscience disciplines, to independently and accurately generate and interpret data and the prepare professional reports.
You will be expected to work independently on single structural geological work and multi-disciplinary projects, both in the office and the field, including client core stores, as well as accurately generate and interpret data.
Proposal writing and the management of projects, inclusive of integrated studies, will also be required, in addition to conducting research and delivering training for oil and gas companies, related to oil and gas exploration,

The ideal candidate must be educated to degree level (MSc or above) in Geology / Structural Geology, with extensive and proven Structural Geology experience, preferably within Oil and Gas consultancy.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent presentation and report writing skills are also required in this position.
Fantastic Microsoft office skills and working knowledge of Petrel, Kingdom and specialist industry standard software modules (including 2D/3D kinematic modelling and Fault Seal analysis) are essential.
English language skills are essential,, whereas other language skills would also be an advantage.
