Job Description

Their services range from Non-Exclusive studies to Multi-disciplinary services, are active in all processes relating to the search for, and exploitation of hydrocarbons.
Joining a regional team and reporting to the Regional Manager, the successful candidate will undertake palynological slide analysis, provide geological interpretations, undertake research and training within the area of stratigraphy related to oil and gas exploration on behalf of internal and external clients.
The candidate must be able to contribute to projects using a range of techniques and processes relating to the areas of stratigraphy and palynology but also have an understanding of all Petroleum Geoscience disciplines to enable independent and accurate generation and interpretation of data and preparation of professional reports.
The incumbent will undertake for clients as required palynological analysis of samples, either in the office or at wellsite as well as independently review geological and biostratigraphic data and provide interpretations and sequence stratigraphic correlations (predominantly using software such as Stratabugs and ODM / IC)
You will also support the Chief in regular mentoring of less experienced colleagues, providing feedback as and when required to aid their development.
The ideal candidate will be educated to BSc level in Geology, Geophysics or Geoscience and ideally have a Masters (or above) in a Geoscience subject. Experience of writing technical reports is essential.
You will have excellent Microsoft office skills and experience in an oil consultancy would be desirable.
There may be a requirement to undertake on location work such as at wellsite. This role will require international travel and often direct interaction with clients. Provision of support with departmental promotion and formulation of departmental strategy
