The Role: To act as Senior Geoscientist responsible for leading technical evaluation of onshore area (including Central Block) aimed at both exploration opportunity identification and development infill opportunities. The position offers opportunities for detailed prospect evaluation and a focus on production geoscience, analyzing existing data. This role shall report to Developments business lead. Responsibilities Safety Attain and maintain Goal Zero in the office and in the field, with strict adherence to Life Saving Rules Lead G&G Evaluation for Exploration Opportunity Identification Seismic Interpretation to support prospect identification in block and in surrounding areas Develop Geological and Structural models for area Provide volumetric and risk assessment of exploration opportunities Deliver well proposals to Exploration team and contribute to technical assurance Lead G&G Evaluation of Development Infill opportunities Review existing static reservoir models and identify infill opportunities on-block Review production data and identify key risks and opportunities for infill wells Provide technical support for and fracture stimulation studies on block Support development activities on block, including compression studies Coaching Develop skills for junior staff in team to improve competency in onshore Trinidad Geology, Structural and Seismic Interpretation Share knowledge on onshore Trinidad Geology to wider Exploration and Development teams Main Interfaces Internal Exploration Team (Maturation) Exploration Team (Regional, Houston) Developments Team Well Engineering Commercial Team External Petrotrin Technical Team, MEEI Qualifications, Experience and Core Competencies• University Degree in Geology or Geophysics • Minimum of 10 years in the petroleum industry with Geoscience experience in onshore oil & gas field development / production • Relevant experience and proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams • Proven ability work effectively in diverse teams • Experience with Joint venture and government relationships • Petrel (or likewise) software competency is required • Seismic Interpretation skills • Trinidad onshore geological experience including Structural interpretation • Exploration / Development well delivery • Effective Communication skills, including a good command of the English language • Fostering a Collaborative Work Environment. • Effective at managing external relationshipsAbout Fircroft:Fircroft has been placing people in specialist technical industries for approaching half a century, focusing on mid to senior level engineers for contract and permanent roles worldwide.
