ContractOur client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Geoscientist, based in Aberdeen.
Qualifications & Experience
Educated to degree level in geology/geophysics or similar discipline.
Significant years oil and gas experience ideally gained in an operating environment
A strong understanding of geoscience concepts, to include structural, facies and sequence stratigraphic analysis
Expert in seismic interpretation techniques and software including Petrel
Expert in basic map generation and depth conversion techniques.
Good understanding of 4D seismic technicques, processing and interpretation
Good understanding of quantitative interpretation techniques and their applicability
Good understanding of key geophysical (including interpretation) uncertainties and quantification of these
Expert in deterministic and probabilistic volumetric calculations
Knowledge of seismic acquisition and processing methods, and how to maximise quality of the data
Broad experience gained in a variety of depositional settings and basins
Knowledge of field development planning
Peer Review experience
