We are seeking a motivated and talented Geoscientist/Geologist to join our team in downtown Denver, Colorado. The successful candidate will be a tenacious problem solver and critical thinker with a drive to work both collaboratively and independently. As Senior Geophysicist/Geologist you will directly contribute to our geoscience team tasked with identifying prospects and adding possible oil and gas plays to our global assets.

Evaluate seismic data sets for hydrocarbon potential and present recommendations for future exploration efforts and seismic data acquisition based on technical and business experience.
Perform extensive detailed mapping on 2D or 3D seismic data, analyze seismic attributes, and prepare detailed structural, stratigraphic and amplitude maps.
Closely engage with overseeing seismic processing on various projects by out-of-house processing vendors for best practices in AVO products.
Learn and apply Aspect’s proprietary workflows on AVO gather and elastic impedance inversion products.
Study and apply additional geophysical applications and workflows to improve our drilling results.
Aid in development of a predictive analytics approach to our prospecting efforts.
Contribute to exploration and/or joint venture activities, regarding geological and geophysical efforts in search of gas or oil.
Maintain high standards of quality control, technical advice and training in seismic interpretation techniques, work flows and best practices.
BS or MS in Geology or Geophysics.
Minimum seven years’ experience in exploration or development geophysics/geology.
Demonstrable experience from working in a variety of sedimentary basins and tectonic settings.
Strong technical skills on geophysical special studies subjects.
Proficiency in Kingdom, Geographix, and Hampson-Russel is desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
