Several positions as Senior Geophysicists are open and linked to both operated and non-operated assets, in production or in development planning phase.The successful candidates will be a part of a team and it is expected that they actively seek advice and perspectives fromcolleagues and leaders within own section, the organization at large and from other cooperating sources. They will ensure that all work within their area of responsibility is planned and executed safely and efficiently.They will ensure competence and experience transfer by good communication. They will participate in relevant internal networks.
Responsible for coordination and execution of geophysical work for the field(s) within scope:Seismic InterpretationSeismic Well TieUse of AVO, seismic rock properties, attributes and seismic inversion for quantitative reservoir characterizationDepth conversionSeismic modellingWell log interpretation and correlation4D seismic interpretation and analysisWell planningProvide and maintain inputs to asset reservoir modelsDevelop full understanding of remaining reservoir opportunities that could be economically justified in an effort to maximize production and value from the fieldEnsure that reservoir priorities are maintained through planning and drilling of new wells and the overburden is thoroughly evaluatedEnsure that all work, tasks and projects within his/her area of responsibility is carried out to achieve the overall objectives for the fields. These include HSE, technical integrity, compliance, production and cost.Coaching and mentoring of junior staffRoles the Development Geophysicist interact with: Team: Geologist, Reservoir Engineer, Production Engineer, Operation Geologist, Asset/Hub: Operation, Projects, Drilling & Completion, Finance and External: Licence Partners and authorities
Ability to effectively work across the subsurface disciplinesAbility to integrate effectively across disciplines and communicate uncertainties (risks and opportunities)Minimum M.Sc. plus 10 years geological experience with production geologyWell developed geophysical skills and experience within the areas of field development, production and well planning / execution
College / University, Master's degree
