Description

University degree in Geophysics, Geology or equivalent.

Minimum 15 years of industry experience, of which at least 10 years in production/ development related Geology.

Minimum 5 years' experience working (as employee or consultant) for an oil exploration and production company or international service company.
Hands on experience in naturally fractured reservoirs.
Plans and coordinates geophysics activities including interfacing with Geology, Petrophysics and Reservoir Engineering disciplines.
•Interpretation of 20 and 30 seismic data, QC of seismic reprocessing, and helping the planning and in designing parameters for new 30 data acquisition.
Assist in building and populating geological models through application of seismic inputs including structure and 30 fault handling.
Should be proficient in use of 3D visualization techniques for preparing well prognosis, and for monitoring of drilling including geo-steering.
Assist in finalization of appraisal and development well proposals.
Utilize seismic data to optimize exploitation of mature oil fields. Use of seismic techno-logies such as attributes mapping for reservoir characterization.
Quantitative interpretation techniques such as elastic and geostatistical inversion for geomechanic
/reservoir characterization.
Experience in use of pre and post stack seismic data conditioning in conjunction with well logs for high resolution reservoir characterization.
Experienced in use of seismic multi attributes for reservoir characterization.
Preferred experience in interpretation of multi-azimuthal stack for identification/ quantification of fractures and anisotropy.
Experience in use of geophysical techniques for aiding depositional and sequence stratigraphic interpretation, rock physics workflows and seismic facies calibration.
Apply innovative methods to identify bypassed or previously unrecognized pay intervals.
Provide geophysical inputs for reservoir appraisal and field development plans.
Preferred tight carbonate, naturally fractured and unconventional kerogen type uncon-ventional carbonate reservoir experience.
Proficiency in seismic interpretation/inversion software suite such as Seisworks, Petrel platform experience preferred.
Hands-on experience with tools such as Geoprobe, Earth Vision and other volume based interpretation techniques.
Conversant with UNIX and PC platforms including MS Office suite.
Has coaching and mentoring ability to impart skills and knowledge to younger team members.

Willing to carry out other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
