Job Description
The successful applicant will join Spectraseis’ Petroleum Services Group on a full-time basis.
Primary duties will include:
Knowledge of geophysics and seismic imaging.
Hands on participation of microseismic projects to accomplish project objectives.
Perform quality control, monitoring, and interpretation of geophysical microseismic data.
Communicate technical solutions to enhance project efficiencies.
Participate in the Induced Seismicity Monitoring (ISM) rotational 24/7 monitoring projects.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Geophysics
Experience in the microseismology and/or oil and gas industry is an asset
Previous experience manipulating Geophysical or similar data
Programming or scripting knowledge (Matlab Java, C++)
Sound knowledge in general computing
High attention to detail and accuracy
Good problem solving skills
Effective time management skills with a proactive work ethic
Excellent interpersonal skills
Able to function as part of a team or independently
Ability to travel through Canada and the USA
Ability to work legally in the United States
