Reporting to the Vice President of Exploration, you will work as part of an active, multi-disciplinary team focused on prospecting based on seismic needs and existing purchases, reprocessing initiatives and defining the upside value to potential acquisitions and divestitures. You will be responsible for providing in depth seismic interpretation, mapping, depth structure and conversion techniques. You will review new seismic shoot and purchase data requirements from a quality control aspect and to maximize value of seismic expenditures. You are familiar with 2D and 3D data in the field, including designing acquisition parameters for different play types. You will liaise both internally and externally between departments and joint venture partners to add value with respect to farm-ins, farm-outs, seismic options, recompletions and new drills.
To qualify for this position, you have attained a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Geophysics or Earth Sciences), with a minimum of ten years related oil and gas experience and be an active member of APEGA or PEGS. You have experience working with various teams and joint venture partners and have a proven track record as a successful prospect and opportunity generator. You are a leader with excellent interpersonal skills, are self-motivated, and have confidence delivering information to influence parties with potentially divergent viewpoints.
