Reporting to the Vice President of Exploration, you are a proven geophysical prospector and have extensive experience working in a multi-disciplinary team focused in the WCSB. You bring your expertise in thorough seismic interpretation, mapping, advanced attribute mapping and depth structure conversion techniques. You have planned and designed acquisition parameters for different play types and have expertise interpreting 2D and 3D data. You have demonstrated strength in your ability to liaise between internal departments and joint venture partners and to add value generating farm-ins, farm-outs, seismic options, recompletions and new drill opportunities.
You have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Geophysics or Earth Sciences), no less than 10 years of related oil and gas experience and are an active member of APEGA or PEGS. You enjoy leveraging software and are proficient in SeisWare and GeoScout. Experience with Rock Physics workflows, AVO Inversion methods including Lamda/Mu crossplotting and working in unconventional reservoirs with microseismic are considered assets. You also have experience planning and drilling horizontal wells. You are a leader in your discipline and have excellent interpersonal skills, are self-motivated and have confidence delivering information to influence parties with potentially divergent viewpoints.
