My client, an independent E&P company are urgently seeking a Senior Geophysicist to join them on a permanent basis at their offices in Athens.• The candidate should have extensive experience with an operating company.• Undertake interpretation of 2D and 3D volumes incorporating regional structural understanding. Interpret multiple horizons and faults and identify plays, leads, and prospects. Assist in the selection of well locations in order to define and evaluate drillable prospects• Evaluate leads, prospects, and development projects and assist determination of hydrocarbon-in-place volumes, building the Exploration Portfolio, and in the development of appraisal strategies and development plans• Good understanding of QI techniques. Undertake geophysical attribute analysis, interpret results of special processing such as coherency, amplitude inversion, AVO analysis.• Design geophysical surveys for exploration, appraisal and field development. Define acquisition specifications and parameters to meet the objectives of the survey• Follow up of data processing QC with contractors• Design well profiles for multiple targets, assess potential drilling hazards and determine appropriate surface location and well paths for exploration and development wells• Excellent presentation skills - be able to present all work, prospects and evaluation proposals etc to our client's management, partners and other stakeholders• Work together with New Ventures team to Identify new E&P opportunities to further develop the exploration portfolio.
