This role requires diverse experience in the field of Geosciences and is for a major oil company in the Middle East where the incumbent is accountable for acquisition and interpretation of accurate geological data and construction of geological models to ensure accurate simulation of reservoir, calculation of in place recoverable hydrocarbon and optimization of field development and reservoir management programs.
Designs and plans complex studies to identify new prospects and their hydrocarbon systems, develop new play concepts, and develop qualified models of the subsurface.
Studies include stratigraphic and lithofacies analysis diagenetic, porosity and permeability distribution and hydrocarbon saturation studies to properly characterize reservoir.
Reviews and evaluates programs and plans to ensure technical integrity and cost effectiveness. Includes drilling, logging, coring and well testing programs for development and appraisal wells.
Integrates geological and other well data and advises on formation depth, structural and sedimentary patterns and features. Recommends drilling locations in collaboration with the team’s reservoir engineers.
Provides technical input into various reports and reviews them to ensure technical integrity.
Bachelors Degree in Geology or equivalent.
12 - 15 years experience in petroleum geology, including active participation in integrated field development studies and planning activities.
Experience in GAS Recovery, Oil displacement, rock experiments, analyses of existing data sets.
