The SKN team will operate the North Komsomolskoye (NK) test and pilot.
NK is a large oil and gas field operated by a joint Rosneft Statoil team (SKN).
The team will be responsible for the subsurface part of the North Komsomolskoye (NK) test and pilot, and for the subsequent full field development evaluation and decision.
The senior geologist shall contribute to build an excellent multidisciplinary petroleum technical team
Provide geological expertise for SKN
Perform geological evaluation, build reservoir modelling and participate in well planning, execution and evaluation of results.
Prepare reserves estimates and do necessary reporting.
Ensure proper quality control both from Rosneft and Statoil as well as relevant institutes
Location will be in Gubkinsky for first 2 years.
Some field visits and visits to institutes may be required
The Line manager will be at the Statoil Moscow office.
Master or PhD in geology
Minimum 5 years industry experience
Experience with geological modeling
Good geological knowledge
Experience in working with some of the main Russian oil and gas companies
Some experience with seismic interpretation is beneficial
Strong technical skills, ability to work well with others and a desire to make a
difference on potentially significant impact opportunities
Solid experience and skills in geological modeling
Capable to work with a large amount of data, and present and work with stakeholders, both internal and external
Excellent software skills. Knowledge and ability to work with RMS and Petrel
Ability to work in a multicultural environment and with diverse business cultures.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
Strong interpersonal skills
