Several positions as Senior Geologists are open and linked to both operated and non-operated assets, in production or in development planning phase.The successful candidates will be a part of a team and it is expected that they actively seek advice and perspectives fromcolleagues and leaders within own section, the organization at large and from other cooperating sources. They will ensure that all work within their area of responsibility is planned and executed safely and efficiently.They will ensure competence and experience transfer by good communication. They will participate in relevant internal networks.
Interpretation within sedimentology, structural geology and collating all available information to characterize the reservoirBuild and update 3D reservoir models capturing the reservoir characteristics to asses in place volumes and uncertaintiesDevelop full understanding of remaining reservoir opportunities that could be economically justified in an effort to maximize production and value from the fieldTeam member to provide geological input for business cases to drill wells and for safe and effective drilling operationsEnsure that all work, tasks and projects within his/her area of responsibility is carried out to achieve the overall objectives for the fields. These include HSE, technical integrity, compliance, production and costCoaching and mentoring of junior staffRoles the Development Geologist interact with: Team: Geophysicist, Reservoir Engineer, Production Engineer, Operation Geologist, Asset/Hub: Operation, Projects, Drilling & Completion, Finance and External: Licence Partners and authorities
High skill level within one or more of the following: sedimentology, structural geology, 3D reservoir modellingIn order to effectively communicate across the traditional disciplines, working knowledge of 3D Seismic, petrophysical data and production data is requiredAbility to integrate effectively across disciplines and communicate geological uncertainties (risks and opportunities)Minimum M.Sc. plus 10 years geological experience with production geology and / or field developmentWell developed geological skills and experience within the areas of field development, production and well planning / executionSound reservoir engineering understanding
College / University, Master's degree
