The job holder participates in the evaluation, proposal and execution of the acquisition of discovered hydrocarbon resources (DRO) in his/her respective regional perimeter. For her/his countries, he/she :
Contributes to the identification of DRO opportunities and follows up on their evolution.Is responsible for the technical interpretation & manages necessary studies activities to acquire previously discovered hydrocarbon resources.Propose the study geological/2G scope in-line with study dead-line and other métier constrains using a pragmatic approach.Contributes to the quality and coherency of DRO studies.Ensures the quantification of uncertainties, technical risks and proposes acquisition programs/mitigations plans.Ensures that the necessary inputs are prepared before any DRO meeting and liaises with geological métiers ahead to ensure alignment.Whenever in position of technical team lead, organizes the 3G study and its follow-up to meet dead-lines. Ensure key interventions from specialists and experts are relevant and done on time.Plays the role of internal geological expertise (peer review on other DRO project when asked to), build and circulate geological knowledge of the zone (type of fields with examples in each basin,…).Maintains high level of technological geological know-how in line with the needs of the region, relay information on new technology to other métier (logging, modelisation...).Is always prepared to demonstrate Total geological expertise to host countries (high level presentation of Total competitive advantage, past studies in the region...). Prepare and participate to presentation for partners/NOC’sParticipate to brainstorming to identify potential new venture ideas in zones already studied during DRO projects.Contributes when adequate to prospects and to post discovery resources evaluation evaluations.
Master’s degree in earth sciences / engineering, 10+ years of geological experience with prior experience as a Technical team lead for Integrated Field studies Significant experience in geology, including both operational experience and integrated geosciences studies, is required.
Soft skills: good listener, team player, ability to influence, good communicator, cross-functional understanding.
