Senior geologist working on maturation of the portfolio of development and appraisal opportunities on the Shuaiba and Nahr Umr reservoirs, Al Shaheen field.Responsible for building and maintaining static reservoir models of the Nahr Umr and Shuaiba reservoirs.Primary interface for geology with external entities (shareholders, external providers).Provide geological input for the monitoring and analysis of well-by-well performance.Build and maintain 3D static reservoir models used to underpin all reservoir development and appraisal activitiesUse geological models as input to development and appraisal well planningIntegrate data from new development and appraisal wells into the geological understanding of the reservoirs. Team work with the reservoir team to end-up with changes in the static modeling compatible with the dynamic understanding.Participate in the seismic 4D interpretation with geophysics and reservoir integrated teamProvide input for the yearly reserves reportResponsible for developing and maintaining a detail knowledge of the geology of the Shuaiba/Nahr Umr reservoirsParticipate in shareholder presentations related to the Shuaiba/Nahr Umr (information and validation processes)Promote and participate in the COMPANY geoscience communityParticipate to the consolidation of the geological know how in close collaboration with the Geology Head of Discipline.Manage transversal organization between Asset / Head of DisciplineIntegrate cost dimension in any decisionIntegrate safety dimension in any decision
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Must hold a BSc in Geology/ Geoscience. Preference also for and MSc or higher.Minimum of 10 years of experience required, with experience of working for an operating oil company preferred.International experience is recommended, in particular in the Middle EastExperience of working in multidisciplinary teamsMust have worked on carbonates and clastics reservoirsSignificant exposure to the development / production geosciencesSafety consciousVery good communication skills.
