Senior Geologist, reporting to the Exploitation Manager. Successful candidate is expected to handle geological and geophysical assignments of varied scope and complexity with limited supervision. Assist reservoir engineers in building capital plans as well as building an inventory of executable projects. Will work with very limited supervision and review of work. Viewed as competent in all areas and serves as a lead or source of information to lower level employees.
Masters in Geology is a must.
5 - 12 years experience in oil and gas geological studies.
Solid experience in applied clastic and carbonate depositional systems; specifically within the Permian Basin, West Texas.
Experience with structural analysis; specifically within the Permain Basin, West Texas.
Previous experience with mud logging and wireline logging.
Experience with formation evaluation techniques, especially with log petrophysical analysis software such as Powerlog.
Proficient in Petra and Kingdom (including 3D seismic interpretation) geological software.
Proficient in the use of computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office suite.)
